PL Week 38

I made a skirt for myself. I like it but my family teased me that I look “a bit not myself” in it {my kind version of hat they said} . I still like it so I will wear it and feel proud!

Happy Birthday MJ!  Our beautiful girl turned 15 today! I love to look at her smiling face. Syd and I took her lunch {about the only time we have as there is a XC meet tonight} Hubby and I laughed that she seems like she is older than 15 but we have thought that every year. She just acts more mature {most of the time} than her age.

XC stuff:

MJ ran a 30:45 a new PR for her! JD ran 16:30 for 2nd place. Midland Daily news article quote “Jake taking second in the Valley is pretty impressive for a junior,” said Hollenbeck. “Two juniors (Greer and Rocha) and a sophomore (Legge) up front are a good sign for the future for us.”

Ruby has finally settled into a routine now that the kids are all back at school. Morning naps and afternoon naps rule her day.

Hubby is on his “Mancation” of baseball, football, a stop at Coopers Town  and site seeing in Boston. He left yesterday at 5am. On our Face time call with him Syd was more eager to  show him her Princess cards than chat with him.

Wow JD had an awesome day today! They ran at Delta, a 2 mile race (CJ ran 600 meters). Meg ran a 17:28, a great time for her, she was hoping to get under 18.

JD took first place in Division 1&2 with a 10:06.5. He wanted to come in under 10:00 but was happy with  first place. He won the Al Kayner award for being the fastest male of the day and a first place trophy.

Midland Daily news article quote “Greer (10:06.5) bested 66 other runners to win the boys’ race, where the Chemics took third place out of 10 teams with 82 points.”

A peek at my current wood adventure. I am building the girls twin beds.  I work on it a little here and a little there, I think I may end up painting it in the basement as it may get too cold in the garage by the time I finish them.
